0 Want to personalize your bedroom?

This pic from the internet is a great example of a bedroom, it's practical tasteful, fun and personal. I have ten tips on how your room can achieve this!
  1. Throws/Quilts-these create a warm feel to your room. After all, your bedroom is a place where you would want to go!
  2. Cork boards, pin-up postcards letters and lists for you to remember.
  3. White and ?, try going a blank canvas and paint white then, bring in your favorite colour in the cushions, rugs and accent walls.
  4. Things to do, whether it be your laptop or a hobby like reading make sure there's that aspect in your room.
  5. Themes, in the room above they have gone with a specific pattern of a flower that they have kept with on the bed, walls and even the bag-it looks great!
  6. Make the bed the highlight, put teddies and cushions on your bed and make it as cosy as possible...you wanna get some good kip!
  7. Keep it bright, make sure you have a good source of light when you are in your room if you have a south-facing room you'd generally have the light if not draw back those curtains.
  8. Clear the clutter, it's natural but theres nothing worse than not being able to find something under piles of junk so the less you have the better off you are. You may want to put all your old stuff in a bag and pop down the local charity shop they'd love it.
  9. Mirrors. Mirrors can help a room feel bigger as they reflect in a way the space it can see so there's a little tip!
  10. Finnally, look for I N S P I R A T I O N. Look on the web for other ideas and use it as a template to look back on. Be bold and be you!

p.s try copy and pasting this ^ stick it up and stay motivated!

This was a tea light bird cage that I decorated for my friends birthday. I bought the green cage then added lace, flowers and a button with ribbon and beads dangling from the bottom. But then, the bird I stuck on came off and the dangily part too, bit disappointing but nothing a bit of superglue couldn't fix.

The London Olympics opening ceremony was great, dynamic and Brazil has a lot to follow when they do the next Olympics.
Here are some pictures:
Just wanted to say thank you, I have over 1,000 page views now, what an achievement don't forget to recommend my blog or grab that button on the right-hand side.

0 Made!

I made this blue bird hanging today this is one of many others but this one was the only one that I finished for now. I will post some pictures of the others when they are finished.

This was a tapestry I completed a week ago, tapestry is a great craft to do in front of the telly!

Look at these! On my Mums Birthday my grandma knitted these flower dolls all with unique personalities- I am envious!!! I know how to knit but I could never do this!

0 What I've been doing today...

I was reading the climax of 'Love, Aubrey' which is so far a great book-almost finished! Nothing better than reading a book under the trees...

Finished the last part to my button bracelet, buttons look great as bracelets!- you could use the loop rings with the button on to thread through a bit of thin rope too.

The last of the sun, going behind the bushes...oh well more tomorrow.

Hope your having great holidays,
remember to craft!

0 My art journaling

These are some of the pages I've done in my art journal. I am beginning to really get addicted to it! No-one else will have the same as me. I have, like everyone else, my own 'stamp' to put on it which is one of my favorite things about it. Looking on the web is a great source of inspiration before journaling, and people really are talented. I know my pages aren't 'amazing' but I am proud to know that I have done it-nobody else...
Keep creative

0 Some of my favorite art journals

I love the colours on this art journal page! The birds look so sweet too.

The vibrancy of this page was amazing, the writing is so nice!
The water colour used on this page is really good. It's bright, genuine and what art journaling should be about.
This art journal is sort of like a scrapbook too, whats sweet about it is that it's mini and full of love!

This is a more simpler design but it is just as effective. I like the words that stand out over the text in the background.
Creative. The blue is stunning on the page.
This is so original and it all ties in together.
This art journal page is exactly my style-love it!

I will post some photos of my personal art journal pages that will continue to be growing throughout summer.
Try some art!

0 Photo Rainbow

I took these pics today whilst out with some friends, using the theme of a rainbow. My fav is the blue door knob it came out quite well when I edited the contrast.
Why don't you try a rainbow photography gather taking pics of any colourful thing that passes when you walk? It was a bunch of fun and you could even just go on the interenet and gather some photos into a collagé or something like that.
Seeya soon

0 Door Hanging

This was a door hanging I made a while ago that I thought I would share it was fun to make and was a great way to get rid of those scraps lying around.

I used felt but maybe floral fabrics would look just as good it depends on the place you want it to go. This looks great in bedrooms especially. I have used blanket stitch for all the felt circles, if you don't know how to do blanket stitch-now's the time to! It looks great, finishing off projects that you make.
Thank you
